That sounds like cats. We had two cats when we got my American Bulldog, Asia(she was already named, still after 6 years of ownership I think it’s a stupid name). She hates cats. She also likes to play. This did not bode well for the cats. After about a month, one cat realized that if he didn’t go along with her playing, she would leave him alone. They became friends! The other did not, and she ran away(wasn’t missed, she was an asshole, but kept mice and rats away). Sadly we no longer have cats, because I ran over the male cat when I was 16(oops). He decided to move from under our Impala to under the moving Trailblazer.

The cat of ours that ran away had a couple of litters of kittens. Only a couple of those litters did not get ran over by my Mom. They aren’t the smartest of animals.
